Restaurants We Like or Don't Like
We have visited the "Royal Diner" on Dixie Hwy in Clarkston now, I think 4 times.
It has become one of our favorites, because of the very friendly staff and the excellent food. All the items we have tried, have been prepared with care and very attractive trimmings. The portions will make you ask for a box, to take the part you can't eat, home with you.
Although the Royal Diner has a Greek flair to it, they serve something American, Greek, Mexican, Italian, and Chinese. You will want extra time to study this big menu.
I ordered the "Almond Chicken." Delicious! It comes on a very large plate, a bed of rice, steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. Large white meat chicken chucks that are cut from a crispy chicken breast, an almond flavored gravy, slivered almonds, and parsley garnish. It is almost too pretty to eat!
It also comes with soup or salad. My choice is the soup. It is all homemade soup and it is excellent! You should also get a bread basket, which our waitress forgot this trip. No problem, we didn't need it.
